"I think I've lived long enough to see competitive Counter-Strike as we know it, kill itself." Summary of Richard Lewis' stream (Long)
I want to preface that the contents of this post is for informational purposes. I do not condone or approve of any harassments or witch-hunting or the attacking of anybody.
Richard Lewis recently did a stream talking about the terrible state of CS esports and I thought it was an important stream anyone who cares about the CS community should listen to. Vod Link here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/830415547 I realize it is 3 hours long so I took it upon myself to create a list of interesting points from the stream so you don't have to listen to the whole thing, although I still encourage you to do so if you can. I know this post is still long but probably easier to digest, especially in parts. Here is a link to my raw notes if you for some reason want to read through this which includes some omitted stuff. It's in chronological order of things said in the stream and has some time stamps. https://pastebin.com/6QWTLr8T
Intro
"The last month has convinced me, that we are going to be heading into a dark place for Counter-Strike esports in 2021."
"I think I've seen the scene essentially kill itself."
"For the past 5 to 6 years, we've basically been in a holding pattern of people coming into our game wanting to run it, wanting to run all of the esports and wanting to profiteer and its been sort of a concerted effort to drive them off and push them away."
"We're spread way too thin."
"If Riot don't get involved and stop the scumbags that have moved over to Valorant from getting their feet under the table, Valorant is going to have real problems."
RL thinks too much has happened all at once for us to do anything except watch it play out, like:
Recent CSPPA strike against BLAST
ESIC failures and them not being supported enough
Teams cheating i.e. coaches/bugs
Widespread match fixing
The Pandemic
"People who try to hold bubble events are so incompetent and fuck up and people get the 'rona and its their fault."
"People who say Flashpoint is a bubble is full of shit and is a lie and people are now suffering for that lie."
"To save money they let people go home and break the bubble for a week."
"Not just Flashpoint peoples decision, they have a partner that handles the production." (hinting FACEIT)
"People are trapped in hotels essentially under house arrest because of COVID restrictions and has fucked peoples lives up."
"It's all too much, all of this incompetence, all of this greed, maybe we ride it out."
RL says he has talked to the Riot devs (the ones working on Valorant) and says, "They are so cognizant of all the fuck ups and all the problems we have in Counter-Strike."
He continues to say that this is factored into their business plan and that we never had a competitor, but just so happens to have one coincide, when we are at our worst.
CSPPA - Counter-Strike Professional Players' Association
"Who does this union really fucking serve?"
RL believes that the CSPPA is a mockery.
He points out the hypocrisy that they wouldn't strike for the pros who were kicked out of ESL Pro League, or for Jamppi or dream3r.
He also says ESL paid CSPPA and are racketeering and many other TOs have to pay them to get their "seal of approval"
He says they would strong-arm TOs saying "well if you don't give us the money, these guys are so we'll just have to commit to playing their event."
Also points out that they will strike against a competitor they are not in agreement with (Flashpoint)
RL: "It's what it says about every other time you haven't done it and it's about every time you don't do it now moving forward." "The issues they've chosen to ignore this year alone are embarrassing."
Then he points out that there was no strike for Valve qualifiers even if we have no major but Jamppi and dream3r can't play in them.
"and Valve have said 'Oh yeah we know actually their stories are accurate, Jamppi didn't cheat, now in a legally binding document. Yep dream3r did have his account hacked in a LAN café', but they still can't play. Where is the fucking solidarity? Gone. Doesn't exist. It's not important [because] it doesn't affect you." "That's what the union does right now, it looks after all the tier 1 people."
He says the CSPPA doesn't represent all players all the time and has driven a divide where you have the haves and have-nots
"We have a tier of players that operate with impunity and do not help their tier 2 or tier 3 players out at all." "If you are not a tier 1 player you do not matter, they don't event ask your opinion."
He tells chrisJ to admit and own the fact that the reason he didn't speak up during the ESL Pro League debacle is because it didn't affect him
"They are looking after some players at the expense of other players. How the fuck is that a union?"
He says the BLAST situation is a reasonable dispute and supports the players but is not the right time for a strike and have not even identified the correct enemy
He thinks players are lashing out now due to previous incidents and are upset that BLAST are working with ESIC
He stated that CSPPA shouldn't beefing with ESIC and they should be working in harmony
He says what they need to do is talk with the teams/organizations that have sold that right to BLAST
RL: "Your employers, the people who pay you that massive exorbitant salaries, when you don't stream and you don't do interviews and you offer no value beyond your ability to click heads and you get 25k dollars a month." "Why don't you talk to them about it? Oh right. You're happy to take away BLAST's paper, but you don't want to risk your own."
"I am seeing such unbelievable cowardice from the players here with the battles you choose."
"Where was the strike action when in the qualifiers for the world championship, there were teams and players engaged in huge conflicts of interest?" "Where was the strike action when your image rights were taken and sold to every league you've ever been in every union type organization you've ever been associated with like, WESA, to your org every time you sign a contract, to the leagues you play in."
"Your image rights are essentially worthless now, there's about 10 fucking separate parties that have them, and how many of them are giving you anything for it? Not much pretty much your org by the way."
"That's a big issue. Your image is you, your image is your brand. What are you doing about that? Nothing."
He is also angry at SirScoots who is "popping off" at people on Twitter who all want the same thing, which is 'A unified Counter-Strike scene for everybody, that works for everybody, that has a sustained ecosystem that nourishes everybody.' "We don't have that now."
He also says their rankings are a joke
"Just so happened, oh look TACO, that very important prominent member of the board, we pushed his team artificially up when they weren't even in the fucking top 20, not by a long shot."
He also says the ineptitude of the CSPPA cost Flashpoint a monitor sponsor
"Is it really a player association or is it like a fucking agency at this point"
ESIC - Esports Integrity Commission
"They have been put in an impossible position."
RL says that Ian Smith, the founder of ESIC and who was done work in mainstream sports, is a good and honorable man who has dedicated his life to integrity and sports. He takes on both sides, ensuring match fixers are punished, but also doing appeals and ensuring those punishments were fair.
"ESIC is a tiny organization" and are in need of money, "They didn't run a grift like the CSPPA did."
"Saying 'you want our support and you want the players to turn up you better pay us.' They don't do that."
"Had startup seed money from MTG and since then they've been pecking shit with the hens."
Ian Smith made sure that the money given by MTG (Modern Times Group, parent company of ESL, ESEA, DreamHack) was nothing more than startup money and wouldn't be in debt to them
Ian Smith sat down with other TO's not part of MTG and wanted to partner with them. They declined and called ESIC "ESL spies and we will never align ourselves with you"
"They only were just able to afford, hiring a PR guy on a full time salary to deal with the press and send out those releases you've seen, this year."
"They have a tiny group of staff investigating these things and they have taken on the biggest problems in our scene: the cheating, the match fixing."
ESIC have had "unprecedented levels of cheating to deal with, because there's something wrong with our scene ever since we went online. There's something wrong with it, everyone's lost their fucking pride and self-respect and they got no passion for it anymore, so they think fuck it, what's in it for me?"
He calls out coaches who are talking about players rights when they would rob and steal from them.
Also says more coaches being banned are coming
He also points out flaws in community's reaction to the punishments to coaches bans: "Half of the cunts still have jobs and some of the cunts got new jobs. We didn't even shun the cheating coaches."
ESIC have "found I think another 2 or 3 exploits like that one and they are investigating them all right now, it's going on right now."
"I know that there are going to be more names getting banned, again."
"So they're doing that on a skeleton crew while, investigating 3 continents worth of match fixing in MDL and semi-pro level CS." "They're doing this with half a dozen people." "They don't have any money or any help. People barely even fucking cooperate with them, they are treated like pariahs. It's ridiculous."
"Why are the CSPPA popping off at ESIC on my Twitter timeline, when you should be working together." "because its all about what's in it in for me." "2020, the online era of CS: 'What is in it for me?' How can I cheat, how can I get my paper, how can I bleed this scene one last time before I fuck off and play shooty shooty bang bang Riot Games babys first fps."
RL says that in the CIS region, teams have gone to tournaments and have been eliminated multiple times by the same team. We found out they were cheating and those players who lost, have been cut from their roster, careers ended because of cheaters.
Stream Sniping
"They're all at it in the online era, they're all at it, they're all cheating, they're all using exploits, probably that see through smoke bug got used a bunch of times"
RL talks about how there is no integrity from dead (the player), always denying when caught doing something
On the topic of 'BLAST never said we couldn't stream snipe': "Lies, BLAST never said you could do that, they had to sort of retcon it." "because what happened after that they fucking started snitching and squealing"
"Suddenly you had like, 10 of the top 15 teams in the world, staring into the abyss of being banned for 6-12 months in line with ESIC recommendations."
He says that ESIC was put in a tough situation and couldn't enforce the bans because it would have resulted in killing CS. What resulted was, BLAST, ESIC, and teams came together and gave them a warning and told them, in RL's words "don't do this again or you're gonna get got."
He then says the top teams brushed this off and didn't give a fuck
The new MiBR team playing Flashpoint, that wasn't involved in the previous incidents are doing it again (stream sniping). He gave credit to Flashpoint for the quick resolution and punishment and respect for cogu's response to the situation.
"ESIC came out and said, once more, 'Guys, zero tolerance from now on.'" RL then got upset at community's reaction calling ESIC "pussies" for their non enforcement and said if we want competitive CS we cant ban the top 10 teams.
He points out how players have no integrity and will do anything for an edge as long as they won't get detected or banned or it's within a grey area.
"All of this shit was mad avoidable, even in the pandemic era."
He talks about why aren't we filming them. Why aren't there representatives for leagues and tournaments making sure players aren't cheating?
Match Fixing
"How many years have we let our scene be fucking pillaged by these greedy cunts?" "We just let it happen."
RL says that gambling and skins betting which existed in moderation was "accelerated and blown up by the Call of Duty greedy fucks."
"Never forget TmarTn was on the board of EnVyUs." "His website, CSGOLotto, they had a bunch of off-the-books sponsorships." "NBK promoted them. People forget."
"Those people who had access to the skins, go to the players" "Even people like s1mple, best player in the world, even he scammed knives and skins off fucking fans."
Owners of skin casino sites would approach pros and lend them skins to use in tournaments and possibly keep them after reaching a deal
Players would tip off inside info about matches and teams in exchange for skins. Info such as: roster changes, how they played in scrims
They would use this info to bet and subvert the odds on their sites. "That happened religiously, I can't even tell you how many times it happened."
"I had access to the biggest database of information, from an inside betting circle in NA, and it would take information and screenshots from other pro players, who were feeding them info in exchange for money or skins."
"Some of these players are still playing." "Incredibly, there are players still in the CSPPA today, complaining about the BLAST recordings, that were embroiled in this murky shit back then."
RL also says that there were tournaments where teams contrived with each other, who should throw, who should win.
"There's a handful of people that are trying to fucking clean it up, and you think you get something over the line and you see something like the CSPPA and it's run by corrupt fucking chuckle heads, and now you've got another corrupt body you have to fight on a fucking daily basis, it's demoralizing."
"It's too far gone. Our entire semi-professional scene is compromised."
"It's rife guys, I'm not going to lie any more. It's not just China, it's not just Russia, it's here, it's NA, it's Europe, it's Australia, so much more than you think, so much more than we can prove."
"I get sent chat logs all the time […] and they're morons, these players, short-sighted, amateur, morons and they're doing it on WhatsApp." People would get cut from the bets because they want to make more money, then they leak the logs. He says, from the chat logs, they spread "little" bets across every site they can (400 to 1k dollars) to prevent shifting odds
He says the scumbags who've fucked off to Valorant will do the same there if Riot doesn't do something and says Valorant "is an esports scene heading for a very early fall based on the sheer volume of scumbags that are already there."
"That's tier 2 CS in a nutshell these days. They know they're never going to play in a major, so what's the punishment?"
"All of these tier 2 fucks that are fixing games now they are like the fucking mafia compared to iBuyPower" "These guys are working with organized criminals to fix entire seasons worth of games. That's what's going on in your tier 2 CS."
"I'm literally being told that there are players fixing games at all levels of Chinese esports and motherfuckers with guns are turning up to team houses and stuff."
North America
"Everyone in NA has left we've lost a continents worth of support during this pandemic and Valve haven't said a fucking word."
RL says the Call of Duty "goblins" that destroyed CS for years are the same people who are now trying to leave CS. "The nerve to treat a game where the fans, and the community, and the TO's were nothing but good to you." "To just kick the players out now and go and leave and say 'It just doesn't make financial sense.' Oh you'll slither back when we have a major though for them stickers won't you."
There's a cascading effect in NA where people don't bother with CS anymore and people like Chaos suffer.
He says NA team owners are incompetent for always wanting it easy and always wanting a guarantee on their investment without skill or nuance.
RL says he would be able to market a team correctly and would have a good ROI and also points out how TSM wouldn't even be bothered to tweet that their team, which was one of the best in the world, was playing at the Major.
He also says not all NA owners are like that, compliments and respects Jason Lake who nearly lost everything to keep Complexity going.
He then calls out the incompetence in Infinite Esports when they acquired OpTic Gaming and bought an Indian CS team.
He says HECZ is not to blame here and that they couldn't tell forsaken was cheating when it was so obvious.
They measured his reaction time to the likes of dev1ce and s1mple
When an enemy showed up on his screen he won that duel something like 44% of the time
"was like the number 1 player in the world statistically"
He brought a laptop to their bootcamp and refused to use the high end PCs that hey provided
He respects Andy Miller (NRG CEO) and HECZ but says that the attitude of not being able to easily monetize their teams is "piss weak" and there needs to be a risk.
He says Chaos EC shouldn't be cutting their roster and should be competent enough to be able to figure out how to make money off their team.
He says there are still opportunities in NA and people are panicking and pulling out, and says Valorant will be the same if not worse.
He also says "bums" who couldn't even get out of groups in NA competitions, are making crazy money in Valorant and says it will continue to inflate.
He also said that he heard rumors that EG (Evil Geniuses) are done.
He also thinks that the rumors of a Valve franchised league from before was sparked up from "these lazy fabled weak NA fucking team owners basically trying to see if Valve would bite at the hook if it was dangled and they didn't"
Slasher says NA team owners are really in favor of franchised leagues because they want to make more money. "Most of the powerful team owners right now are on board with ditching this third party organization structure, or they are trying to play this power politics with all the TOs, and that is contributing to a lot of the problems there"
RL says that Riot has proved they can run a franchised league (LCS) and will be profitable in 2021 which is what a lot of team owners care about and says the competition will only serve to snatch people away from CS.
RL continues to say, "I am so sick and tired of what we have done to this scene, I am just exhausted with it." "I think we have legitimately fucked it, I really think we have. I think we're staring into almost like a CGS (Championship Gaming Series) wasteland in NA." "Counter-Strike esports is a fucking joke."
Talent
"TO's have treated CS talent like absolute human garbage for years now."
RL says that people like Sean Gares and ddk switching over to Valorant isn't for financial reasons because they are making less over there.
He points out that TO's can't even give talent a 3 month in advance calendar.
Because of the pandemic TO's won't hire certain people and some people are working more hours for the same money.
He says we as a community don't respect journalists enough which is why we don't have good journalists.
He also says DeKay is leaving the scene soon and that Thorin is close to leaving also
He says he had to talk a caster down from quitting and was struggling to find reasons.
He says that DreamHack told Vince they would hire him but not if he wants to stick with dusT and says that this is the norm in esports. "Constant leveraging of people against each other." and says this is why we don't have a talent union.
New gen casters are getting put into shit situations and the community's reaction to them is adding fuel to the fire
He says the reason Moses left was because of the terrible conditions
He says that Anders had to constantly leave his family and kid because someone fucked up or broke promises and had to constantly tell his kid to their face that "daddy can't be home this weekend."
He says that esports has always been a lie to sell you this dream, "Meanwhile there's about 2% of the cunts getting all the checks."
Valve
"Anything that Riot does, is better than Valve's inaction"
Slasher says that the larger aspect of esports as a whole compared to other entertainment mediums and Valve's lack of inattention are the bigger problems. He continues saying that the fact that Valve let their game be ran as an esport, they need to take on the responsibilities of it.
Both Slasher and RL wants Valve to take control but not on the level of Riot Games, there needs to be a balance.
In case it was ever a question: Gabe Newell has been to 0 CSGO Majors.
RL calls Valve out saying they could have done something during the gambling era.
He says Valve used to come to the majors, but doesn't think they do anymore.
RL had met with Valve at the Cluj-Napoca Major and had tried to appeal iBP's indefinite punishment and had also gave Brax's life story:
A recent family member passed away, they had lost a lot of income, they had to live in trailer, iBuyPower did not pay any salaries, and was pressured by family to make money who didn't support his career.
RL said that Valve told him, "How dare you try and make us feel guilty." "We shouldn't feel bad about enforcing the only thing that matters that we need to make players afraid of: cheating and match fixing"
RL also tried to share other info about match fixing and nothing came of it
RL points out that Source 2 or a new engine is not something you will want based on the experience of transitioning from CS 1.6 to CS:S. "Valve's track record with brand new engines being launched, not fucking great from what I remember."
Slasher says "If there is anything the community should do, is pressure Valve to hire a community manager."
They say that we need a commissioner, a community manager (not the person who runs the Twitter who posts memes all day), then we need to have a circuit
RL reiterates that Valve doesn't care about CS esports and says they need to change the culture at Valve to make them care about CS esports
Slasher says a systemic problem is making it so working on CSGO would be a bad decision for you as an employee for Valve
He also hasn't talked to Valve in ages and have sent over bugs and cheats and doesn't get emails back anymore
Slasher says we should be directing attention at the developer leads, pointing out Ido Magal, if he even is still the project lead
RL thinks that Ido and Brian are the only people that "vaguely even give a fuck about CS" and were the only people that RL recalled that actually read Reddit and paid attention from time to time
"It is really fucking precarious. Somebody has got to step the fuck up and start giving a shit"
Slasher suggests org owners, with CSPPA, with ESIC, with TOs have a concerted effort against Valve
"Riot Games are doing better things than Valve in the esports space" which is something RL didn't think he'd say.
"People who used to be talent, working with unions, arguing with other talent, when the unions fucked them over, can't understand their perspective, TOs fucking over broadcast talent, broadcast talent wanting to leave and go and work for orgs, orgs having no money, Valve might take coaches away because all the coaches are cheating, ESIC has about 4 people in a fucking call doing the investigations, everyone thinks they're spies for ESL, ESL are just the evil fucking overlords wanting to rule the scene and will just somehow, like cockroaches outliving a nuclear bomb, and Valve are in a fucking holiday in Hawaii thinking about the next Dota character because they don't give a fuck about us."
Closing Statements
"We've peaked. If we want to sustain and exist, now is the time to figure it out. No esports lasts as long as this, we've already done 8 years. We've already broke the records. We have got to figure out a way to coexist and drive the negative forces out and we need to do it as a collective and we're not doing that."
RL compared the Counter-Strike scene to the people on the Titanic who ran around with guns robbing people while the boat was sinking.
"We have given up on being a respectable esports scene." "We are now a conduit to make money for those who want to just milk it, just have one last ride, one last roll of the dice. It's done." "What a fucking mess. What have we done to our fucking scene?"
"There's just too much self-interest driving all of this." "I don't see a way we stop the dominoes." "When it's that bad, when there's that many dishonest people that ESIC have to come out and say that if we punish them all there's no one left. What does that tell you?"
"How many opportunities have we had to clean house? How many times have we said, 'this must never happen again', and another scandal." "The entire skins betting operations was the biggest criminal conspiracy in esports ever executed and no one has been punished for it." "The people who could be driving that don't want to."
"Right now people are fans of those organizations because the scene has value. It is worth being a fan of Astralis because they are excellent at Counter-Strike. It is worth being a fan of s1mple because he is the best player in Counter-Strike, maybe the exception of ZywOo. If the scene is devalued, if the scene loses its meaning, those things lose its meaning too, and people will leave, people will stop tuning into the games. I have seen it happen in multiple esports, this is not my first time at the rodeo. I am getting big Brood War vibes right now and I don't like it."
"The role you play in all of this as fans, as viewers, as listeners, as consumers of esports content, it's absolutely imperative that you know who the good guys are. It's absolutely imperative that you use your voice. It's absolutely imperative that when things are bad, you know who, at least, is trying to make them good, and you have to apply your criticism to the right targets."
He continues saying it's no good in continuing to attack ESIC and saying how they are bad, ESIC have it hard
He says CSPPA are on the right side of the argument on BLAST but have been on the wrong side of many arguments many times.
"If you are not willing to stand along side the weakest member of the union, with the least amount of influence, and the least amount of power, then it is not a union at all and you shouldn't pose as one." "You wanna serve a bunch of special interest do it, everyone else in esports fucking does, but do not pose as something you are not." "We love the players. I've been fighting for players rights for as long as I've been able to, but the CSPPA is not what we needed."
"They are not applying the pressure to the right people, they are not fighting the right battles, they are not helping their weaker members."
He says what orgs have done by keeping or hiring coaches is bad. "When you give up on holding an appreciable standard, you've lost the scene" "Competition matters, rules matter, punishments matter, achievements matter, excellence matters" "If you start stripping that away, you have nothing" "You guys need to take that knowledge and apply it sensibly."
"Valve has sold you all down the river, they sold everyone in the esports scene down the river, tournament organizers are selling their talent down the river. Don't hate on them for sounding tired after a 16 hour day. Don't hate on them because the hype for a matchup they've seen for the 20th time in the past 3 months, they can't be as excited or it sounds contrived. Support your guys, they're there for you, these are your people."
"This community has got to start acting like one for the first fucking time. Just put the petty shit away, let's try and fix this fucking scene while we still have one to save."
"You can't rely on Valve, you can't rely on ESL, you can't rely on the CSPPA, you can't rely on anyone." "Once again, it's gonna be the likes of us, the amateurs, the people who give a fuck, rolling up our sleeves and grafting." "I'm old and tired and I don't want to have to do it again. People need to pick up the torch and do it."
"Like Michal did, like Dudenhoeffer did. You see something wrong, fix it. You see somebody doing something wrong, call it out. If you think something could be better, let people know."
"Vote with your wallets if you're not happy with the direction Valve goes in. If when we do get to the Major, they serve up another subpar, same old bullshit stickers and signatures package again, do not buy it."
"You're a powerful block and if you use it correctly we can fucking avert this disaster."
"I'm not doing another year in this broken, bust-up fucking scene, where everyone is miserable, everyone is broke, everyone is tired, and everyone is trying to fucking rob everyone else, blind, while the fucking people who are meant to be protecting you, are just fucking enhancing it and lining their own pockets."
"I'm not doing it anymore and you shouldn't want to do it either."
"I stand by every fucking thing I said. I mean it, because this game fucking matters to me, this scene fucking matters to me. I put my life into this, my adult life, and to see it in this state is fucking sad."

About Whamoo Casino [Full Review]
Whamoo is a brand new, fun-loving online casino that has recently opened its premises for gamblers from many countries around the world. It does however promise to be more than just an online casino, as Whamoo describes itself as a lifestyle and feeling. The rush you feel when the reels spin. The sound you make when that spin turns into a huge win. That’s Whamoo. Yet Whamoo is so much more than that. This online casino promises all you would expect from a reputable online casino – but then improved further. A massive game library? Check. Live casino? Check. Full mobile compatibility? Check. An entire VIP bonus programme for loyal customers? Check. Whamoo is a casino which comes with the entire package which players have come to expect of a casino provider. On paper Whamoo sounds like a great online casino. But being a newcomer on the scene, there are of course always some open questions. How reliable is Whamoo? What can you expect from this brand new casino when it comes to the available games? How cooperative is their online help desk? What kind of welcome bonuses are there for new players who wish to open an online account? In our extensive Whamoo review, we will try to answer all of the above questions and guide you through this brand new casino. So do read on and let’s explore this exciting new addition to the world of online gambling! >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<
A fully licenced online casino
Whamoo is a fully licenced online casino and a safe place for gamblers to put down their wagers. The website of whamoo.com is operated by DialMedia Ltd, a company registered by the Malta Business Registry with number C86642, on the registered address of Depiro Point, Block A2, Triq Mons G. Depiro, Sliema, Malta. As gambling operator, DialMedia Ltd. fully licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) under licence number MGA/B2C/542/2018 issued on 10/04/2019. What does this say about the reliability of Whamoo? The MGA licence is one of the better ones you can find in the online casino world as Malta is the major European nation when it comes to online gambling. It is home not only to most of the world’s top online casinos, but also to many software providers and other businesses providing auxiliary services in the gambling industry. A Malta Gaming Authority licence is not handed out with ease, as a company needs to fulfil many criteria before being granted one. The national gambling authorities of this Mediterranean island and EU member state check for example if all games which are made available are indeed fair and honest. They also check whether a company has enough cash reserves to pay out lucky winners of casino games and hold regular audits to ensure that there are no irregularities. If an online casino has a MGA licence, it means that all the important criteria when it comes to safety, honesty and reliability are fulfilled and that it is a safe place to gamble. For us, the online casino licence is always a first thing we check before we even would consider playing somewhere. With this crucial criteria being fulfilled, we can thus move forward in our Whamoo review and look at all the other things this casino has to offer. And to be honest, the whole Whamoo package looks quite promising! Three of the main selling points of the Whamoo online casino are:
Compile your own welcome bonus package and decide between free spins or a deposit bonus – or a combination of both.
Hundreds of games from top casino software developers, including an exciting live casino platform.
Recurring reload bonuses every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Whamoo clearly sounds like a promising casino when looking at the selling points, but do these points hold up when we test out the casino in real? Let’s continue our review of Whamoo with one of the most important aspects of every online casino: its game library. Which casino games can we find back in the Whamoo game collection? How honest and fair are these games? These are all legit questions which must be looked into before you can decide whether or not an online casino is suitable or not. >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<
Games from top software developers
When checking the list of Whamoo’s software providers you can only feel relieved as this brand new online casino only has games from the world’s top casino games developers. Especially for a newly opened online casino it is important to show to the public that you are talking serious – and you can only do that by adding the most popular games from the top software providers to your game library. It’s not only about fun. Sure, these top software developers are known for making some of the most fantastic video slots, stellar table games. They have the most exhilarating and professional live casino tables to which you can connect in just a few clicks. But it’s more than just playing fun, graphics and game design. By only having games from the top software companies, you are giving your players a clear message that you are only satisfied with the best quality games. Perhaps the most important aspect is game reliability, honesty and fairness. All games from the top software companies are fully tested and accredited by regulatory bodies. These gaming authorities check whether games indeed turn out completely random results and give gamblers a honest shot at winning. This is perhaps even more important than just a fantastically designed game, as in the end what matters most is reliability and honesty inside a casino.
RNG
The games which can be played at Whamoo Casino all have a piece of code called a Random Number Generator (RNG). With a random number generator, the outcome of every game is completely random and independent from previous results. It means that every card being dealt on the table, all dice which are thrown during a game, and every ball spinning around in the roulette wheel is never predetermined. Let’s put it this way: if you throw a single dice with the numbers 1 to 6 on it, you have indeed an exact 1 out of 6 chance that it will land on your predicted number. A random number generator is absolutely crucial when it comes to delivering fair game results and giving gamblers a honest chance at winning. By having games from the top software providers, Whamoo makes sure that you can trust the fairness of every casino game you play. The good thing is that not only are the game results subject to occasional audits by regulatory authorities, but that these software providers also pro-actively test their own games to ensure they fulfil the highest industry standards. They hire independent testing agencies such as eCOGRA to check their games, both in virtual simulations and real-time results. Let’s take a look at the software providers whose games have already been added to the Whamoo game library. As these are some of the best known software developers in the world, chances are that you have heard about some of these names before! >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<
NETENT GAMES
Also known by its full name of Net Entertainment, NetEnt is one of the largest casino game developers in the world. NetEnt is a Swedish company which was founded in 1996, which makes it one of the oldest companies in the relatively young world of online casino gaming. It is so big, that the company is even listed on the local NASDAQ stock exchange in Stockholm, Sweden! NetEnt is best known for its vast video slot portfolio, of which many games are also playable at Whamoo. Having NetEnt games in your casino game library is almost a must for every online casino, as besides Whamoo some 300 or so more online casinos have NetEnt games available, which tells you something about the popularity of this company. Just like Whamoo itself, NetEnt has a full gambling licence in the EU member state of Malta, which means that all games are subject to regulatory oversight and can be trusted for their fairness. NetEnt also works closely together with independent testing labs to ensure that their games meet the highest standards. Some popular NetEnt games which you can play at Whamoo are Jack and the Beanstalk, BerryBurst, Twin Spin, The Vikings, Wings of Riches, Aloha!, Fruit Shop, Jacks or Better, Gonzo’s Quest, Dazzle Me, Wild Bazaar and of course the eternal favourite of Starburst.
PRAGMATIC PLAY GAMES
Pragmatic Play is another major company in the online gaming world. The casino games of Pragmatic Play are always popular with the players, so it is no surprise that Whamoo has chosen to add quite a few Pragmatic Play games to its online collection. Pragmatic Play focuses mostly on online video slots, although they also make some exciting live casino games which are hosted in their own studios. Being only founded in 2015, Pragmatic Play is a relative newcomer within the game developing industry. Yet in those few years time, the company already managed to reach to top heights with Pragmatic Play being considered to rank among the top game providers. Quality and safety are of immense importance for Pragmatic Play. Therefore, all games are documented and tested by independent auditors and testing labs such as QUINEL, BMM and Gaming Labs. Popular Pragmatic Play games which can be played at Whamoo are John Hunter and the Aztec Treasure, Great Rhino Megaways, Leprechaun Song, Lucky Dragons, Mustang Gold, The Champions, Vegas Nights, Aztec Gems, Buffalo King, Starz Megaways, Triple Jokers, Magic Crystals, Sugar Rush, Beowulf and many more exciting video slots. Of course, many baccarat, blackjack and roulette variants are available in Whamoo’s Live Casino which is powered by Pragmatic Play software. You are connected by high resolution video feed to professional dealers and croupiers in one of the Pragmatic Play casino studios where you can experience the thrills of a real life casino behind your computer or mobile phone. It’s almost like you are standing in Vegas!
STAKELOGIC GAMES
Stakelogic is another popular software developer which has added its games to the Whamoo game library. As one of the best-known developers in the software industry, it is always a good sign that Stakelogic games are available to play given that this company has made some exciting video slots. Using HTML5, Stakelogic games are of course fully mobile compatible, which means you can play them on your smartphone as well. The company has also made some exciting new 3D slots which are not only gorgeous to look at but also wild fun to play. As an off-shoot company from gaming giants Novomatic, Stakelogic certainly is a reputable software developer which can be trusted when it comes to fairness and reliability. Popular Stakelogic games are Epic Slam, Wild Stallion, Magic Wheel, Super Wild Arcade, Fruit Spinner, Lucky Gems Deluxe, Hot Fruits, Grand Slam Deluxe, Runner Runner, Turbo 4 Player Jackpot, Dragons and Magic, Big 5 Jungle Jackpot, Mariachi and The Big Cash Game. >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<

Blackjack has always been one of the most popular games among high rollers and the reasons why are quite clear. You can often bet high amounts of money on a single play and you can as a player slightly influence the outcome of a game as you need to decide whether you want to stand or hit another card. At Whamoo, there is plenty of high stakes blackjack action. There are both normal blackjack games such as American Blackjack and multihand Blackjack, as well as blackjack tables in the live casino. In the live casino, which is powered by Pragmatic Play software, you can play several blackjack variants. Bets of up to several hundreds of euros or dollars, or even higher for the real VIPs, are possible. Beat the hand of the dealer and hit that score of 21. Whamoo's unique bonus package
One area in which Whamoo stands out as online casino is its great bonus package. Of course, there is a great welcome bonus for newly registered users. But the fun doesn’t stop there! At Whamoo casino, it is bonus day almost every single day of the week. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the casino has recurring bonus offers if you reload you bankroll on one of those days. This makes Whamoo not only an attractive casino at the moment you sign up, but also at all those moments when you come back to play again. 300 free spins or a €200 deposit bonus
The Whamoo welcome bonus
We start of discussing the Whamoo welcome bonus which is called the “Welcombo” bonus by the casino. On a picture the Welcombo might not look too appealing as its packed in a carton takeaway box you might get at a certain fast food restaurant, but trust us on this: its contents are truly fantastic. The Welcombo box contains a combination of goodies you get with your very first deposit at Whamoo. And what is best of all? You can decide what combo you want to receive! If you sign up at Whamoo for a free online casino account, you can determine your own bonus by adjusting the slide until you have found a combination which matches your idea of a perfect bonus. This is a great option as it allows people to choose the bonus which best suits them. You can choose between free spins and a deposit bonus – or a combination of both. If you are an avid video slot gamer and do not care much about table games, you may want to slide all the way to the maximum free spins bonus. In that case, you will receive 300 free spins, but your deposit bonus will be 0%. The free spins in the Welcombo package are valid on the popular Amatic Industries slot Book of Fortune. On the other hand, if you only care about table games and are not really interested in free spins and playing video slots, you want to adjust the slide to the maximum deposit bonus. This is a 100% deposit bonus of up to 200 euro. This means that if you deposit 200 euro of your own money to your newly created online casino account, Whamoo will top this up by another 200 euro from the house! If you select the full 100% deposit bonus, you will however not receive any free spins at all. Of course, you can also opt for a mix between free spins and a deposit bonus. If you leave the slider in the middle, you will get 150 free spins and a 50% deposit bonus, for example. You can tweak this in any direction you want, for example to a 70% deposit bonus and 90 free spins. The higher your deposit bonus, the less free spins you receive. Want more free spins? Then your deposit bonus will decrease.
Welcombo bonus terms and conditions
Only one bonus is allowed per household and/or per player account. Do note that Whamoo’s bonuses remain valid until seven days after the required deposit has been made. Once this period ends, the bonus is automatically flagged as expired by the system and can no longer be released. The expired bonus funds are then automatically removed from the player’s account. Of course, there is a wagering requirement which must be met in order to withdraw your bonus money and any winnings which may derive from it. Real money balance is used prior to bonus balance. The bonus balance will only be used when there is no real money available in your account. Only real money funds and released bonus funds can contribute towards the wagering requirement of the bonus. The wagering requirement for the Welcombo deposit bonus and free spins is thirty times (30x) the deposit + bonus. Do note that players that deposit money using Paysafecard, Skrill or Neteller are not eligible for the Welcombo. To assure fair gaming and prevent fraud, Whamoo has placed a maximum cap on bonus money wagers, which are limited to a maximum per round/bet of €5 or its equivalent in other currencies. You should also be aware that certain games cannot be played using bonus money. There is a full overview of these games on the Whamoo bonus page. Bets placed in certain games might not contribute fully to the wagering requirements.
Bets placed on video slots count for 100%
Bets placed on scratch cards count for 100%
Bets placed on blackjack count for 10%
Bets placed on video poker count for 10%
Bets placed on poker count for 10%

The casino has recurring promo offers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you deposit some extra money to your online casino bankroll on one of those days, you are eligible for a bonus. Freeday bonus
Friday is the favourite day of the week for many people – and the reason why is quite obvious. It marks the end of another working week and the start of some well-deserved weekend R&R! For many people this involves paying a visit to a land-based or online casino to get their kicks at their favourite game, whether it is a card game, roulette or video slot. Whamoo knows that many people cannot wait for the days off work to start and therefore has come up with a special Friday bonus to welcome in the weekend! This bonus day is called ‘Freeday’ by Whamoo. The casino basically hands you a bunch of free spins if you are a regular customer. For every weekday from the previous week (Friday through Thursday) that you’ve deposited 30 euro or more, you get 10 free spins. For every weekend day you even get 20 Free Spins! That means up to 90 Free Spins are yours to play with. That’s a great start to a weekend full of partying and fun!
Wagering requirements
Do note that wagering requirements do apply to all daily promo offers. These are more or less the same as we outlined above in the description of the welcome package, but do take a look at the bonus terms and conditions page on the Whamoo website to know precisely what you can expect! As always, it is important to read the small print in order not to face any surprises later on. >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<
A fully mobile compatible casino
As a brand new online casino, Whamoo knows that already a majority of gamblers nowadays play on their mobile phones rather than on computers. Because of this, the Whamoo casino is fully compatible with mobile devices and tablets. If you load the Whamoo website on your smartphone, it looks just as good as on your laptop of computer. It’s equally accessible and orderly too! The mobile website is a breeze to browse through and you can easily access all the important pages such as the game library and payment page. The same counts for the actual games themselves. Whamoo only works with software providers which are known to offer full mobile gaming support. These games are made in code such as HTML5, which means that the games can simply be played in your (mobile) internet browser. There is no download or special app required to play these games. Whether you are playing on your computer, tablet or smartphone, you simply surf to Whamoo.com and select your favourite game from the library. This game will then open in your internet browser – and you can play instantly. It does not matter whether your phone runs on Android or is an iPhone, nor does it matter whether you have Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari or any other internet browser. Whamoo will function just fine! This is absolutely great as you can now play at Whamoo wherever you are, whenever you want. Want to put down some wagers on the roulette table while you are sitting in public transport on your way to work? That’s easily doable! Just take out your smartphone on the train or bus, and surf to Whamoo.com to play at your favourite roulette table. Are you sitting on your couch at home and want to play a few hands of blackjack before going to sleep? Just take out your laptop, tablet or phone and within seconds you can have some of the most exhilarating blackjack fun on your screen.
The Whamoo Live Casino
Whamoo’s live casino is powered by Pragmatic Play and NetEnt software – which are two of the biggest, most reputable software providers in the world. This is great news for the players, as you can access high quality tables in just a few clicks. In the live casino, you are connected with a live video feed to a real-time casino table in one of the casino studios of these software providers. You can play games like baccarat, blackjack and roulette like you are standing in a real land-based casino in Vegas or Monaco! Thanks to the high definition video stream, you have a great overview of all the action which unfolds on and around the table. All table games are led by experienced, professional croupiers and dealers who are not only well-trained, but entertaining as well. By all means, feel free to open your microphone or the chat window to have a talk with them, or even with other players from around the world. This is what makes the live casino such a great invention. Even though you might be sitting at home in front of your laptop or computer, it does almost feel like you are standing in a casino for real! Especially for high rollers the live casino is a worthwhile addition as table limits are often much higher than in regular games. Of course, if you are on a tight budget there will definitely be live casino tables where low minimum bets are allowed too – no worries there. But it is the experienced, high stakes gambler who probably feels most at home in the live casino. There are multiple baccarat, blackjack and roulette variants which you can play. For roulette, there is American Roulette, European Roulette, French Roulette, Speed Roulette, Live Roulette Auto and Roulette Macao Live. If you prefer the casino classic of blackjack, you will find plenty of different tables all with slightly different betting limits. Baccarat is perhaps the game with the highest betting limit. Besides the regular version, there are also Speed Baccarat tables. A fourth casino game which can be played live at the Whamoo Live Casino is Sic Bo. Just browse through the list of live casino games, or use the search function to find your favourite table! >>Get No Deposit Bonus Now<<
★ Quick Review of the Tanks in the Premium Footlockers + Best "Strategy" to use ★
So it seems that WG decided that a fun gamemode can't go without monetization, and they've added "Footlockers" (Read: Lootboxes) for purchase. It is extremely important to note: You are NOT guaranteed to get your money's worth - In fact, most boxes you open are going to be a BAD VALUE. These are NOT like the Christmas boxes where there was at minimum equal value in the box as what you paid for it. The Halloween "Footlockers" rely soley on the CHANCE of you getting a Premium tank. WarGaming has not released numbers for the chances to get a Premium tank, but based on all of the unboxing videos / posts I've seen, the chance seems to be around 1 in 25 (4%). In theory, that doesn't seem too bad, with each box also having the ability to be rerolled. However, the actual value of the contents inside is another story. Let's start with the best "strategy" to get the absolute most out of the boxes. (Want to read this guide with better formatting? I post all of my content to the NA Forums. This one is hyperlined here) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strategy:
To maximize your chance of getting the Premium tanks without ruining the potential value you'd get from them, in theory you should reroll every box that doesn't have a Premium tank once, and once only. However, since not all of the Premiums are very good, plus there's no guarantee you'll get a Premium tank at all, you should most likely: Keep:
5 credit boosters
Personal training manual
3 days of Premium (reroll if you have plenty of Premium already)
350,000 credits (reroll if you're swimming in credits already)
**Reroll:**
Everything else that is not a Premium tank.
Do not reroll a box more than once. Each one contains 100 Gold, which is enough to reroll it once without losing more Gold than you "earned". This will prevent you from losing more money than you already would if you don't get Premiums, and will maximize the value you get if you do get Premiums from the boxes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mini-Reviews of all of the Premium Tanks available:
We're going to quickly do a rundown of each of the Premium tanks offered, providing a 0-10 rating and a very quick description of the most notable features of the tank. T77 Heavy: 7.5/10 [Very Good] The T77 Heavy is in many ways like a Tier 8 version of the T57 Heavy, except it doesn't have any of the DPM. The T77's gun is unreliable with an extremely long reload. However, it has the ability to unload 1,080 damage within 4 seconds of the first shell, which is absolutely devastating at Tier 8. The rest of the tank is mediocre all around, with unreliable armor, somewhat poor view range, and somewhat sluggish mobility. However, the mobility is enough to get it in and out of important positions, and allows the gun to work wonders. It's kind of like the Bourrasque in that regard - A very unreliable gun on a mostly underwhelming platform, that works surprisingly well because of the monstrous damage potential. Of course, this tank plays entirely differently in comparison to the Bourrasque, but it's actually a good tank to get from the boxes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- M4A1 Revalorise: 5/10 [Average] The tank has definitely suffered hard from powercreep, but its still a reasonably okay tank. The gun is punchy and relatively reliable, and the tank has gun depression to make it work. Everything else about the tank is forgettable, and the armor resembles French bread more than French armor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMX CDA 105:7/10 [Very Good] Most people brush the AMX CDA off, but the gun that it has on such a mobile and stealthy platform makes it feel like a very playable version of the Strv S1. Sure, the Strv S1's gun is even better with even more gun depression, but the Siege Mode mechanic makes it very inflexible and difficult to play on matchups where you can't just sit back and snipe. The AMX CDA 105 on the other hand, is able to keep contributing to the battle, relocating and even being able to get up close and personal if it needs to. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STG: 5/10 [Average] The STG is kind of like the M4A1 Revalorise - A forgettable tank and platform, with a rather solid gun. The STG sacrifices some of the mobility of the M4 to gain armor. It sacrifices the gun depression to get a stealthy low profile. Its shell velocity is traded off for better accuracy. It's just as average as the M4 Rev is, but offers a different playstyle for the same alpha gun, in case the M4 Rev wasn't quite your cup of tea. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ELC Even 90: 4/10 [Poor] If I were to rate this tank objectively, especially with the new equipment that's in the game, the ELC Even 90 offers a level of scouting potential that no other light tank at Tier 8 offers. Such a small, low profile tank, especially with the new equipment, is able to spot tanks from positions that nothing else could, while also having a gun that can hit surprisingly hard if you can get the entire magazine off. That being said, the gun is... Abysmal. It's one of the worst guns on any Tier 8 tank in the game, and ELC Even 90 players consistently average less damage in the tank, than they would in a Tier 6 tank. The gun is truly horrific, and the tank only works because of the scouting potential, combined with small size with a 660 damage potential magazine. A good player can make the tank work reasonably well, but as I've said in many previous ELC Even 90 reviews [hyperlinked here], the tank just doesn't have the carry potential that other Tier 8 light tanks do. You're rolling the dice each time you play it whether or not you'll get a map where the tank can work, whether you'll find good light / medium tank players on the enemy team that can counter you, and whether or not your gun will decide to hit a tank 20 meters in front of you. You might love the tank - A lot of people do... But it's kind of like the Tog II in that regard - It's a giant rolling meme... Or I guess in this case, a tiny go-cart meme. It's not actually good... But it can be fun if you get the right scenario. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strv S1: 6/10 [Good] The Strv S1 as I mentioned earlier, is a less flexible version of the AMX CDA 105, that has a better gun, better camo and better gun depression. That being said, because of the Siege Mode mechanic, in most circumstances the AMX CDA 105 will have more carry potential, and be a far more enjoyable tank to play - On top of making more credits. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FV4202: 3/10 [Very Bad] The FV4202 never was a particularly good tank, even when it was a Tier 10 medium, but as a Tier 8 Premium tank in 2020, it is particularly bad. The armor is pretty decent, but the mobility is on the sluggish side, and the gun is just a joke and a half. 1700 DPM for a tank with 230 alpha, and a shockingly unreliable gun (despite what the paper stats would make you believe), is not a good combination. Combine that with poor gun handling on the move, and you're not in for a pleasant experience. The hull armor is pretty troll, but the turret is pretty easily penetrated by anything with 220mm of pen or more. Using your gun depression helps to some extent, but because the turret is so large, and has so many flat zones, even when you're completely hull-down using all 10 degrees of gun depression, the armor still doesn't hold up as well as you'd hope, and the gun will just disappoint you over and over again. It is a bad tank, and one of the worst ones in this list. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T-54 first prototype:5.5/10 [Average] The T-54 Prototype is sadly just a worse version of the T-44-100. Everything about the T-54 Prototype is significantly worse with the only exception being the armor, but even the armor is hardly much to write home about. The turret is still the weakest part of the tank, and having the same shape and size as the T-44-100 turret, with similar armor effectiveness, it defeats the purpose of the T-54 Prototype even moreso. The only well-armored part of the tank is the hull, but even that only works if the enemy can't shoot down on it using gun depression, and if the enemy has less than the average of 220mm of pen at Tier 8. It's a decent enough tank, but it's just pointless compared to the T-44-100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hwk 30: 6/10 [Good] The Hwk 30 isn't particularly great, but it feels in many ways like the RU 251 at Tier 8, which is pretty nice. The gun is solid, the mobility is good and it's reasonably stealthy with great view range. It just can't compete with the LT-432 or EBR 75, which makes it somewhat pointless to own. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T92: 4/10 [Bad] How quickly things have changed, huh? When this tank first came out, I would have told you it's a pretty good light tank. Powercreep has hit this tank hard, and the new equipment only makes it even less relevant than it otherwise would be. The T92 doesn't really benefit from the new equipment nearly as much as some of the other light tanks do, since it's such a one-trick pony by comparison. It has god-Tier levels of gun handling on the move, but sacrifices a whole lot to get it. The acceleration is great, but a limited top speed really holds it back, and it would be a waste of a Turbocharger in some ways if you chose to go that route. The tank just doesn't have anything to compete with the best Tier 8 medium tanks, which hurt it far more than other Tier 8 light tanks do. You might still have some fun tanks zipping around and snapping shells in, but just pray you don't find a Lansen C, Progetto 46, or Bourrasque on the enemy team... Because otherwise, they'll be the ones having fun snacking on you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IS-6: 4.5/10 [Bad] 2014 called, they want their tank back. While it's true that the IS-6 got a much-needed armor buff that actually makes the armor surprisingly decent for a Tier 8 Heavy (even if we ignore its Pref MM), the gun still is abysmal and holds it back significantly compared to most other Tier 8 heavies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T26E4 SuperPershing: 7/10 [Very Good] Unlike the IS-6, the Super Pershing's armor buff and gun buff brought it right back to being a rather competitive tank. While you do still need to shoot plentiful of APCR to make the most out of it, the armor holds up really well which allows you to let the gun work. Unlike the IS-6, the Super Pershing's gun is actually pretty good, with good gun depression, decent enough accuracy and aiming times, and reasonable enough gun handling. Combine that with really good APCR pen, and you can not only play like a heavy tank, but you can outplay heavy tanks too. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kanonenjagdpanzer 105:5/10 [Average] We can see where this is going... Of the 3 105mm Tank Destroyers on this list, the Kanonen is at the bottom of the barrel. The Kanonen may not have to deal with Siege Mode like the Strv S1 does, but it's in many ways worse than the AMX CDA 105 - Which defeats the purpose of playing such a tank. The AMX CDA 105 is a more flexible Strv S1, with many good characteristics to still allow the gun to perform really well. The Kanonen 105 is very vulernable though with its complete lack of armor and poor gun handling on the move. This makes it much less flexible than the AMX CDA 105, and means it doesn't have the redeeming characteristics it needs to be a viable alternative to the Strv S1. Not to mention, the hp/ton is much worse on the Kanonen, which means it isn't as fast as you might hope, relying mostly on its top speed and traverse speed to get around, not so much its acceleration. It's definitely not as bad as the Kanonen 90... But that's not saying much, considering just how bad that tank actually was. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vk 168.01 (P): 4/10 [Bad] Apparently we're still calling unskinned tanks a new Premium tank. I thought this was 2020, not 2016 / 2017? Anyway, the VK 168.01 P is an armored tank with a hard hitting gun, that's as slow as a brick house floating through a river of molasses. It's not going anywhere anytime soon, and if you do manage to make it to the battle, your team has probably already lost. It's just a worse version of the VK 100.01 P, except they're charging you money for it. No thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lowe: 8.5/10 [Great] While I no longer rate the Lowe 10/10 as I used to, it is still a really good tank that still manages to hold up really well in the current meta. The gun is punchy and reliable, the gun depression works really well with very solid turret armor, and the hull is still fairly usable so long as you can hide your lower plate. The Lowe is a great credit grinder, with decent carry potential. It's not flashy, and it's not the most fun tank, but it works and it works well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WZ-120-1G FT: 9/10 [Amazing] This is one of the few tanks in the Chinese line that actually stands out as being a really good tank. The DPM is insanely good, the armor is surprisingly solid, the tank is really stealthy and low profile, it's pretty quick with an extremely fast traverse speed, and the tank even has view range to go along with it! Not to mention, when you let the gun aim, its accuracy is also pretty decent. This tank has just about everything you'd want, except for a turret and gun depression, but its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, and is still one of the best Tier 8 Premium tanks in the game - Especially now with the new equipment providing an Improved Rotation Mechanism. The Improved Rotation Mechanism helps tanks like this a lot, since the gun handling becomes better, aim time becomes better (with the smaller aiming circle) and an already quick-turning tank turns even faster now. It is truly an amazing piece of equipment for a truly amazing tank. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And there we go, there was a quick rundown of all of the Tier 8 Premium tanks offered in the Footlockers! Is it worth spending the money? Probably not. It's gambling to the extreme, and unlike the Christmas event, many people will be walking away with next-to-nothing during this event. The boxes only become worth it if you get one of the Tier 8 Premiums offered, but even then, most of the Premiums just aren't all that good. There are a few shining stars in the mix, but it's mostly a lot of mediocrity. Unless you have a good amount of disposable income, and you don't own most of the tanks on the list, the boxes simply aren't worth it. And even then, since there's no guarantee of actually getting your money's worth (quite the opposite actually, with most of the boxes being nearly worthless), I would highly advice against buying the boxes. And while it's true you get 3 keys from the 10 box bundle, that's only 3 battles in the WT auf E110 - It's barely anything worth paying attention to, and doesn't really add any meaningful value to the boxes. These footlockers are completely pointless unless you win a decent Tier 8 Premium tank that you didn't already have, which is a small chance and is entirely casino-style gambling, without any of the fun or experience of being in an actual casino.
I was introduced to TS via the hardcopy boardgame, and I started to make my own modifications of the game to one boardgame copy. I'm not a professional game designer and I'm still tweaking the cards, so any suggestions will be taken onboard. Here are the cards I've changed. Most of the changes are purely to the text (and sometimes name) of the cards - I generally have not changed the OP values. Card "allegiance": US, USSR, or "Bilateral" (usable for event by either side)
Early War cards:
US/Japan - Amended the amount of US influence added. "US gains 3 Influence in Japan, and gains 2 Influence spread across countries adjacent to Japan. USSR may no longer make Coup or Realignment rolls in Japan."
Meta: the original no-coup/realign power was rarely useful in normal games. The Influence add was imbalanced and basically served as a trap for beginner players, making a soft-lock for experienced players. The power was so weak the US would rarely ever want to play it, rather having the USSR play it for them. The new power means the US gains contestable control of Japan if they play it for the power, and can also break South Korea or shore up Taiwan.
Red Scare/Purge - Unchanged normal text, but added an extra line: "This event cannot be played against the same player twice consecutively. This event's first target is immune to this event until the other player has also been targeted."
Meta: Pretty much what it says. This means you can't hit the same player with RSP until the other player has also subsequently been hit. This can sometimes prevent T3 reshuffle consecutive hits, but also can prevent truly messed up situations like headlining RSP, then playing Star Wars and retrieving it, to hit them again for a cumulative -2 (not that this happens all that often, but it's an edge case that can kill a game if it does).
Romanian Abdication - Changed name and power. "Exporting the Revolution: Gain 3 Influence in any non-battleground square adjacent to the USSR superpower."
Meta: Why should Romania get all the fun? Now the Soviets can menace Afghanistan, Finland, and the Chinese Civil War as well. (Note that this also requires a change to the power of Independent Reds, below.)
Independent Reds - Broadened power to: "Add sufficient US Influence to any non-battleground country to equal USSR influence."
Meta: Could be a nice card to headline or play AR7 to create a map crisis.
Formosan Resolution - this is now a recurring card. "Taiwan shall be treated as a Battleground country for scoring purposes, if the US controls Taiwan. when the Asia Scoring Card is played or during Final Scoring at the end of Turn 10. Taiwan is not a Battleground country for any other game purpose. This card is deactivated for the remainder of any turn where the US player uses The China Card."
Meta: The current effect of Formosa is so temporary that it usually never makes a difference, since Taiwan is a 3-stab territory which makes it expensive to grab, and The China Card becomes increasingly important to manage DEFCON suicide and hand hold cards. This implementation means Formosa sticks around until the end of the game, although it gets turned over facedown if and when the US plays the China Card (and it gets turned face up at the same time as the China Card for a neat symmetry).
The Cambridge Five - power is unchanged, with the following addition and following limitation: "If US has no scoring cards, USSR may add 1 Influence to any territory where it already has at least 1 Influence. Cannot be played as an event after The Iron Lady."
Meta: In the current game state, C5 is an all-or-nothing gamble that the US has a scoring card. (And if the US headlines its sole scoring card at the same time the USSR headlines C5, the USSR still gets nothing.) Given the extreme damage that the Cambridge Five actually did in history, I thought it better to give it a minor effect if you gamble and lose - the Soviets get to shore up one point in one country. This is still a card that the USSR would need to think about before using, since a swing-and-a-miss basically converts a 2 OP card into a 1 harmless Influence.
Nuclear Test Ban - power changed to mirror the 1989 Dawn of Freedom card Samizdat. "Player may set aside one card from their hand and draw a new card from the deck. The set-aside card returns to the hand before drawing new cards."
Meta: The actual VP award of the original card was rarely played (since either way you were losing 4 OPs, and the only time you'd get max 3 VPs was when DEFCON was at 5, which rarely happens). More usually, it was played to lower increase DEFCON by 2 so you could get a breathing space of one DEFCON-degrader on your next turn (though your opponent could potentially counter this by just degrading DEFCON twice - e.g. Soviet coup in a BG with either Duck and Cover or First Lightning). This "set-aside one card" mechanic buys you a bit more time, by letting you worry about it next turn (perhaps during a headline) or hoping to draw UN Intervention or simply getting the China Card back from your opponent.
NATO - Conditions changed - now can be triggered by only one card, Marshall Plan. NATO triggers Warsaw Pact, not the other way round. Power changed to read: "US controlled European countries are immune to USSR coups, realignments, or Brush War. At the end of any AR where USSR adds, or US loses, Influence in Western Europe, US may reapportion up to 3 Influence among Western European countries, adding no more than 2 per country."
Meta: NATO is a very high OP card but the power seems to be underpowered for its OP cost, apparently reflecting an early beta version of the game where each nation had a civil stability and a military stability, and coups/realignments were evidently supposed to be a much greater threat than in the final ruleset. This revised power operates like a mini-Destalinization for the US in Western Europe only, but it reflects the NATO concept that any Soviet aggression against one member will be treated as an aggression against all. It allows the US to reallocate some of their OPs around W. Europe and dulls the effect of Socialist Governments, Suez, etc. It also means that cards like De Gaulle and Willy Brandt now actually do something important when they deactivate NATO for France and Germany respectively, since the US can no longer destalinize to or from those nations. (Tear Down This Wall can counteract Willy Brandt, but De Gaulle is forever.) NATO is probably the most wonky 4 OP card in the game and it's clear the Optional cards tried to reaffirm its usefulness. I'm sure the above design needs further refinement. Also, Warsaw Pact in history was formed as a response to NATO, so this change reflects that.
Warsaw Pact - precondition changed to "Play after NATO." Power retains base effects.
Mid War Cards:
Willy Brandt - added extra power. "USSR gains 1 VP. USSR gains 1 Influence in West Germany and discards a card from US player's hand at random. (Prevented or canceled by Tear Down This Wall)"
Meta: The "discard a card from US hand" power now could cut both ways. It could be played by the USSR in an attempt to make things inconvenient for the US. Alternatively, the US could play it on AR7 in order to discard an inconvenient final card (much as USSR can already do with Five-Year-Plan or US can already do with Aldrich Ames).
Quagmire and Bear Trap - these cards now give an increasing bonus to escape. Text now reads "As next action round, US [or USSR] player must discard a card worth 2 Ops or higher and roll, adding the Ops to the roll result. Event is canceled on a 5+. Each failure adds +1." (Remainder of text starting with "Repeat..." is unchanged.)
Meta: It's still conceptually possible to get stuck for multiple ARs (especially if Red Scare/Purged) but the chances are much more remote. Each failed roll gives you a further +1 to escape, meaning as long as you have enough 2+ OP cards, you will eventually be assured of escaping. In my variant, a higher Op card also increases your chance of escape - if you immediately throw away a 4 OP card, you are guaranteed to escape (unless RS/P'd) since 4+1d6 automatically meets or exceeds 5.
Summit - changed to "Chinese Border War", Bilateral. "If your opponent has The China Card faceup, you may spend 4 Ops in Asia immediately. If played by the USSR with 3 Influence in the Chinese Civil War space, USSR gains 1 VP."
Meta: Summit's power was cumbersome to calculate and the payoff was too swingy to be worthwhile. Now its power is sometimes useful, either to counter a China Card play last turn, or to counter Ussuri/Cultural Revolution.
Cultural Revolution - Additional powers. "If the US has The China Card, claim it face up and available for play. If the USSR already has it, gain VP equal to the amount of USSR influence in the Chinese Civil War space. No event can remove the China Card from the USSR for the remainder of this turn."
Meta: CR is a nice China Card stealer like Ussuri. However, the rest of the power is underwhelming. I added a power to "lock down" USSR's hold of China Card for the remainder of the turn so it cannot be stolen (although it can still be played and handed over that way). The VP award is now 0 VP to 3 VP depending on how much USSR influence there is in the Chinese Civil War square, making it somewhat comparable to OPEC in power but less powerful than, say, Colonial Rearguards.
Other cards I'm thinking of changing:
Fidel. Much as US/Japan is frustrating to handover control of Japan to one side unilaterally, Fidel is similarly disheartening for the US player who pushes influence into Cuba. Perhaps a simple "gain 3 Inf in Cuba" and possibly another Inf in an adjacent country may work better. That way, the US could play this card, pushing its 2 OPs as influence into Cuba and keeping it competitive.
War Cards. The current mechanic (whereby the winner consolidates influence of both sides) is pretty variable - it can result in 0/0 influence if that was the starting state of the AR, or it can result in a 10/0 state flipping to 0/10, which is usually pretty demoralizing to a player midgame (as well as thematically difficult to wrap my head around).
Considering changing this to give the winning side Influence equal to the stability rating of the nation. That way, the losing player could still shore up the nation to reduce the "winner takes all" outcome (by putting in 2x stability Influence).
The Iron Lady: it feels too harsh that the USSR can play this card and take over a 2/0 Argentina in one AR. Perhaps the US can choose 1 Inf to remove in South America, or the OPs value of the card can be reduced to prevent the USSR from simply pumping Influence into Argentina. Also, C5 is now made unplayable by this card for a minor boost.
Dice rolls - once per turn, you can burn a card to set a die roll to match the OP value of the card. If it's an enemy card, then your opponent chooses whether or not they want the power to happen first or your die roll to happen first.
Card drafting - split deck into Low Deck (SCs, 1OP, 2OP) and High Deck (3OP, 4OP) and each player draws their cards in alternating order from low to high to low etc. While this doesn't prevent you from getting a worse hand than your OP, it does reduce the OP variance (since if you drew three very low OP cards like 3 Scoring Cards, as happened in an international TS final, at least you drew three cards worth 3 or 4OPs guaranteed to counterbalance it instead of three cards worth 1 OP).
Space Race could probably benefit from a +1 to roll if burning your own card, and +1 to roll if you've tried and failed at this stage before. (Similar to 1989's Tiananmen Square track.)
Thanks for reading!
The above is posted for review and suggestions. In all honesty, I'm getting to the point where base TS' swinginess in dice rolls and (especially) card drafting is turning me away from the game and I'm trying to reduce this element on a per-game basis (since I don't really have the time to "play lots of games so it evens out in the end"). I appreciate gentle suggestions in advance. For any feedback basically consisting of "I would never play this game using your proposed changes" (or similar vein) you can probably safely assume I know that already.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister Early Access Update v0.3.3
Tactical Adventures, the team behind Solasta: Crown of the Magister, has put together a sizable early access update for their D&D-based CRPG. This patch fixes plenty of bugs and issues, but perhaps more curiously, it adds an option to enable non-seeded RNG, which should come in handy if you’re someone who prefers gambling to some good old trial and error. Here are the patch notes: Hi there everyone, It's been one week since our Early Access launch and we've been hard at work to bring you a whole bunch of improvements! DE version available here (thanks Raminblake): https://ift.tt/34LdgBr Important: If you are running into infinite loading screens, make sure to verify your games files! - Go to your Steam Library and right click Solasta => Properties => Local Files Tab => Verify Integrity of Game Files. - If this doesn’t fix the problem, try loading an older save (such as an auto-save) to go through the problematic area! On rare occasions, save files can get corrupted so the solution is loading another one. Tutorials - Characters and NPCs in the tavern should no longer clip into their chair or the table in the intro cutscene. - You are now forced to use Disengage against the Greyback Wolf. Hopefully that will save some more lives, too many budding adventurers died there - We've also updated the Quest to clearly indicate that you must push the rock after disengaging - Added a camera movement in the Orc Cave to show where the lever is to open the door - Added a bit of gold in the Stealth Tutorial, because gold is life World Map - Fixed a bug where locations would sometimes appear at the wrong place. They're just standing there... menacingly - Added a quest marker for the first scavenger quest Necromancy Quest - When fighting Lizzaria, the zombies should no longer be locked behind bars. They get to join the fun too! - Fixed a rare crash where killing Lizzaria would drop her Arcane Focus, which probably was an Orb of Annihilation considering how it annihilated the game stability - Mardracht has been buffed a lot, poor old man barely had enough HP to stand up. He now is ready to kick some butt - Mardracht should no longer disappear before the end of the cutscene - Made adjustments to the items found in loot containers - Added audio when breaking windows - Fixed the main quest not updating if the player immediately rushed to the secret passage instead of entering the courtyard - Mana Lamps should no longer go invisible after being lit. You should see a slight improvement when launching the game! - Fixed a strange bug that would happen when attempting to fast travel and closing the map at the same time - Continue &Load Game buttons should no longer be greyed out when cancelling Character Creation - Poisoned and Diseased conditions should now properly be displayed - Fixed a rare and strange bug where audio levels could get out of sync in certain conditions - Rocks should properly roll when pushed now, instead of sliding on the ground - Fixed a small issue with the Adventurer Ghost portrait - Added new sounds to ghouls, skeletons and zombies - Made some slight improvements to the map here and there

Bitcoin (or BTC) is a decentralized virtual currency which is traded in the same way as currencies or bonds, except that for the storage of Bitcoins it is necessary to download an “electronic wallet”. According to Bitcoin there is no person, company or government that controls Bitcoin, so it requires users for its operation and the greater the demand, the greater its value. One of the main attractions of Bitcoin is its possible anonymity which allows the user to buy, pay and sell products and services without the intervention of any bank or financial institution. Best Online Casinos to Play Bitcoin Poker of October 2020 In its beginnings, in 2008, Bitcoin did not obtain great popularity, but little by little it began to be adopted by more users and companies. It was in 2011 that the newspapers began to read about Bitcoin, since then companies of great international impact have begun to open their doors to transactions with Bitcoin, some of these companies are: Dell, Overstock and Microsoft. The increasing adoption of Bitcoin by multinational companies spurred a reaction from government entities, with each country taking very different actions. In August 2013, the German Finance Minister declared Bitcoin as a "unit of account" which can be used for private transactions, which allowed Germany to control this virtual currency. In December 2013, the Chinese government prohibited banks and financial institutions from transacting with Bitcoins due to security and transparency issues. This government action caused a considerable drop in the value of Bitcoin since users in this country could not change their Bitcoins to the local currency. The United Kingdom and the European Union have also recognized Bitcoin as a type of currency and every day this cryptocurrency is accepted by more countries. However, each specific case must be analyzed, for example: in the case of the United States; Bitcoin is not considered a digital currency but rather a taxable product. Buying Bitcoins for the first time can seem a lot more difficult than it actually is. There are many methods to acquire Bitcoins, the most practical is to acquire them directly from an exchange house or Bitcoins exchange houses. Their names denote their difference, in exchange houses you will go to a provider who will sell you Bitcoins for your local currency, while in exchange houses you interact with other users to exchange Bitcoins for real money. Bitcoins transactions can last from 10 minutes to several hours and are made through a Bitcoin address (similar to mail methods, only the address in this case is a series of numbers and characters), once you receive the transfer you must move your Bitcoins to your electronic wallet before you can use them. In short, that's how easy it is to use Bitcoins: · Bitcoin is a virtual currency that is stored in an electronic wallet. · The value of Bitcoin is decentralized so it fluctuates depending on its demand. · You can make a Bitcoins transfer in seconds and its verification takes about an hour. · Once a Bitcoins transfer has been made, it cannot be reversed · For the most part, Bitcoins transactions are not subject to fees or commissions. For more detailed information, you can consult the Wikipedia site on Bitcoin here Sites to play online poker with Bitcoins Online poker sites have become more popular every day and since the use of Bitcoin is anonymous, decentralized and more or less instant transfers, online casinos have recognized in this cryptocurrency an excellent potential to attract new customers. The way Bitcoins are used to gamble online divides casinos into two categories: exclusive Bitcoin poker sites and online casinos that accept Bitcoin. So, what is the distinguish between using an online casino that accepts Bitcoins and using a Bitcoin casino to play poker? https://preview.redd.it/wo0is3x12wu51.png?width=621&format=png&auto=webp&s=b733c7964f58ba0441de2f060fed7aaf1dbfe4ed Differences between Bitcoin poker and poker sites that accept Bitcoins There are several differences between using an online casino that accepts Bitcoins and a Bitcoincasino, here are the most important ones: The great differentiation between these types of online casinos will be the total offer of payment methods to enter or withdraw funds from your casino account, Bitcoin casinos do not accept other payment methods other than Bitcoin transfer, while traditional online casinos They will offer you other payment options such as a bank account or PayPal. The expenses for using exclusive Bitcoins casinos are minimal and normally there are no fees for withdrawal of funds, contrary to the case of online casinos that accept Bitcoins as one of their payment methods since they most likely will charge you some commission. Another great advantage of choosing Bitcoin casinos over online casinos is anonymity since you will not need to link your email or personal data to create an account. In addition to the convenience that this anonymity provides, it also streamlines the transfer process in relation to online casinos that require documentation. You should consider that this anonymity also makes Bitcoin casinos vulnerable to security problems with other users. The game offer does not vary much between a Bitcoin casino and a traditional online casino, the most popular are: poker, roulette, slots and dice. Some small Bitcoin casinos do not turn to typical gaming providers like Playtech and Bets off as they tend to look for smaller providers that you may not have seen before. Some of the most relevant Bitcoin casinos are: PokerStars, SWC Poker, Bitcoin Casino and Bit casino. Pros of using Bitcoins when playing online poker Transfer money to and from your online casino account The requirements are basically the same as those of any traditional form of payment, of course you must have the electronic wallet software to use Bitcoins, but remember that withdrawals with this cryptocurrency they are usually much faster. User anonymity This advantage applies or not depending on the online casino you use, if when you sign up they only ask for information about your Bitcoin account then you will enjoy complete anonymity, however if you need to fill in personal or banking information to register at the casino then this benefit will not apply on that platform. American users can use Bitcoin Since Bitcoin is not recognized in the United States as a currency, it can be used as a means to enter and withdraw funds from an online casino account, remember that in the United States the laws vary a lot from one state to another so if you are an American user make sure you know the laws of your state in relation to online gambling before registering on a platform. The double bet with Bitcoin Many players opt for Bitcoin to place their bets since there is the possibility of winning some money depending on the exchange rate of Bitcoin when it comes to changing it to their local currency. This is why when used as a payment method for an online casino account, it is considered a double bet. Best Rake backs It is normal for Bitcoin casinos to offer better rake backs to their users since their expenses when using Bitcoin as the only payment method are lower, however this applies only to exclusive Bitcoin online casinos. Cons of using Bitcoins when playing online poker Where there are advantages, there are also disadvantages, here are the main cons you should consider when betting with Bitcoins. Bitcoin-exclusive online casinos are sites without regulation or oversight In the absence of a regulatory entity, it is hard to believe the promise of these casinos to use random platforms and take care of your funds. You must be much more careful when choosing an exclusive Bitcoins casino than a traditional online casino, the reputation and opinion of other players will be very important when choosing a Bitcoin Casino. Another factor that you should take into account is that the lack of regulation of gambling with Bitcoin does not mean that you are exempt from following the gambling regulations of the place where you live, especially in the case of the United States, where the government has previously intervened in activities of bets regardless of the means of deposit or withdrawal of funds from the companies. The fluctuating value of Bitcoin The value of Bitcoin can vary both upward and downward. Its value can change in a matter of hours, and the behavior of its value is not so similar to that of currencies such as euros, dollars, pounds or pesos, but is more similar to the behavior of products such as oil, gold or wheat, Relative anonymity of Bitcoin While it is possible to register to exclusive Bitcoin poker sites without giving personal information, the use of Bitcoins can be traced through the blockchains to a personal account. Lack of support from financial institutions Being a decentralized currency, Bitcoin is not backed by financial institutions or government, which gives you less support as a user. If there were to be a problem with the Bitcoins system, there would be no government intervention as would happen in the case of a bank. Of course, you should consider that it is thanks to this lack of intervention that transfers with Bitcoins do not charge fees or commissions. Being a virtual currency it is susceptible to cyberattacks. While the programming behind the Bitcoins System is sophisticated, so are the hackers' systems. In 2013, the UK Crime Agency reported that several users of this cryptocurrency had been victims of cyber extortion, after receiving an email their computer was infected with a virus and later they were sued for some bitcoins to repair the virus on their computers. Unfortunately there are more cases like this, in Europe a payment provider lost more than a million dollars after a cyberattack. All transactions are final Remembering that there is no intervention by financial institutions, it becomes evident that it will be difficult to file a dispute in the event of a transfer error, so you will have to be much more careful. conclusion Playing poker online is a game of both chance and strategy. For some bettors it is exceptionally alluring to utilize Bitcoins since they have the chance of expanding their benefits as indicated by the Bitcoin swapping scale. For many, traditional online casinos play poker with bitcoin will continue to be the best option due to the reliability and regulation of their transactions. What cannot be denied is that the use of Bitcoins grows day by day and in the world of online poker as in any cyber activity you must consider the most innovative and practical solutions that there is for you.
Division: NFC South Record: 7-9 (3rd in the Division) Memes: So Many
Intro: Break it Down, Arthur Fleck
I used to think that being a Bucs fan was a tragedy. But now I realize it’s a comedy. For my whole life, I didn’t know if this team really existed, but I do, and people are starting to notice. NFL didn’t listen, did you? You just make the same Jameis memes every week. “Eating W’s,” “MRSA,” “30/30,” are you having any negative thoughts? All we have are negative thoughts. Loretta Winston used to tell Jameis to smile and put on a happy face. She told him he had a purpose: to give the ball to the world. So what do you get when you cross a mentally ill QB banned from Uber with a subreddit that abandons him and treats him like a meme? You get Buccaneers! Have you seen what it’s like out there, NFL? Do you ever actually leave this sub? Everybody just yells and screams at each other. Nobody’s civil anymore. Nobody thinks what it’s like to be a Bucs fan. You think men and women like the mods of NFL ever think what it’s like to be Bucs fans? To be somebody but themselves? They don’t. They think we’ll just sit there and take the memes, like good little boys! That we won’t werewolf and go wild! I know it seems strange. I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable. I don’t know why everyone is so rude, I don’t know why you are; I don’t want any more memes from you. Maybe a little warmth, maybe a hug, NFL, maybe a bit of common decency! Because all of a sudden, you’re going to respect us. You’re going to see what this team is becoming next season. We are on the cusp of playoffs. And you? You wouldn’t get it. Shut your mouth and read on. The joke’s on you.

Top Stories of the 2019 Season
Jameis Winston gets a 30/30 Special, and I Ain’t Talking About ESPN: Jameis’s stat line from the 2019 season is the ultimate Rorschach test for where fans stand on the man. “He threw for 5,109 yards and 33 TD’s!” “Yes, but he also threw 30 INT’s and lost an additional 5 fumbles!” Bruce Arians recently make the assessment that about 20 interceptions were Jameis’s fault, the other 10 on his receivers. I don’t disagree. Watching NFL All-22, my personal conclusion was about 21 fell on him. The biggest problem with Winston after year 5 is less the turnovers themselves, but the clustered manner in which they happened.
Games with 0 turnovers: 2
Games with 1 turnover: 5
Games with 2 turnovers: 3
Games with 3+ turnovers: 6
In other words, he was 3x as likely to turn the ball over 3+ times in a game than he was to throw 0 picks. And that is objectively bad. It’s not all terrible with Jameis—his mechanics and footwork look drastically improved under Arians and the rapport he established with his top receivers was fantastic. In 5+ years of writing this series, I can’t bring myself to label Winston a “bust.” I can’t help but think he’s close to becoming the QB who he was expected to be 5 years ago. It’s my hope we franchise him, because it’s not quite time to hit the reset button on this roster. More on that below. The Year of the Breakout: The Jason Licht era has been full of meme picks, bad picks, and outright stupid free agent signings. This was the very first year that his choices started making sense, and we saw huge breakout years for:
Sack Ferret- NFL Sack Leader signed on a 1 year, $4M deal
Vita Vea- Established himself as one of the NFL’s dominant 0-techs and was largely responsible for a top run defense that allowed 802 fewer yards in 2019 compared to the previous year. He also is now the best TE in the NFL.
Chris Godwin- 2017 3rd round pick who had 1,300+ receiving yards and could have potentially won the receiving title had he not been put on IR.
Devin White, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Jamel Dean- The entire 2019 rookie class made contributions to the team that made their potential sky high. More on them below.
Carlton Davis III- 2nd round pick in 2018 who had huge penalty problems coming into the league. Now looks like the same kind of dominant CB he was at Auburn. Ball skills became top notch this year.
49 Days on the Road: No team was screwed by the NFL’s schedule makers like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. Due to the NFL’s continued flirtations with London games, the Buccaneers volunteered to play a “home game” in London in the middle of a difficult away stretch of games. From week 4-9, the Buccaneers flew to LA, New Orleans, to London to play the Panthers, then to Tennessee, and finally in Seattle. A total of 20,378 air miles to be precise. I shouldn’t complain too much though, because whatever Shad Khan is cooking up for the Jaguars is likely to look far worse in comparison. New Uniforms Coming in April: Whoever thought our current uniforms were a good idea deserves to be tar and feathered and thrown in Guantanamo Bay. The design is an unaesthetic nightmare, created as if a cat drank 3 week old curdled milk, an alarm clock, and rotten Chinese food and vomited, and that’s what our current jerseys look like. Poorly received by all and made fun of by many, it’s no surprise that as of 2 weeks ago, the Bucs announced that new uniforms were coming in April 2020. As the old Russian proverb says: “don’t kill the tzar til you know who his replacement is,” but whatever they give us has got to be better. Bruce Arians Takes a Chainsaw to the Culture: When we hired Bruce Arians last year, I never saw him as a long-term solution, but saw plenty of short term value in bringing him on board because of what he would do with our culture. Sure enough, he wasn’t messing around. In the most recent coaching eras, the Buccaneers had an aura of arrogance and lackadaisicalness that showed up on the field, particularly in the 4th quarter. Bruce Arians came in and said “not today, idiots.” Missed blocking assignment? You’re benched for the rest of the game. Dropped ball that led to an interception? You’re benched for the rest of the game and he’s going to call you out to the media. Six interception game in London? …Okay you get a free pass for that one. Bruce Arians did not come for playtime with Barney the Dinosaur. He was so irate with VH3’s lack of hustle after a botched play that he cut the 2016 1st round pick the next day (in reality, that was the straw that broke the Bruce’s back since VH3 was trending towards megabust anyways). There’s an old joke: what’s the difference between the Bucs and a dollar? You can get four quarters out of a dollar. Well, Bruce got four quarters out of the Bucs this year and the team is starting to buy into his jam. It’s what gives me hope for the future of this team. Have to credit Todd Bowles here too, who made the defense look its best in over a decade. One Jets’ trash is another Bucs’ treasure.

Jameis Winston (QB)
UFA
The decision we make at QB will ultimately determine if I think this is a playoff team or not. Due to Philip Rivers moving his family to Florida, there have been emerging rumors that Rivers could be a potential target for the Bucs. But Rivers is 38 years old and a shell of his former self, and Jameis is still only 26. In spite of the many terrible stinkers played by Jameis in 2019 (e.g. his 6 INT game in London), I sadly believe Jameis Winston gives the Buccaneers the best chance to compete in 2020. Would I make a long-term commitment to him? Positively not. Verdict: Franchise tag. 1 year, $27M
Sack Ferret (Edge)
UFA
Just as we all predicted: the guy who we signed on a 1 year, $4M deal would lead the league in sacks with 19.5 and an additional 6 forced fumbles. Ferret was one of the team’s pleasant surprises in 2019, and he’s such a cool guy, he even went on camera to urge everyone to kneel before Mike Glennon. The Buccaneers have had a long drought of quality pass rushers up until trading for Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) last year. It’s going to cost a pretty penny to retain Barrett and pay him based on only one year of top production, but it’ll be worth the gamble. Verdict: Re-sign him. He should command a contract of 5 years, $110M with $60M in guarantees.
Demar Dotson (RT)
UFA
Demar Dotson spent most of his career in Tampa as one of the better performing and underrated RT’s in the league. A relic dating back to the Raheem Morris years, Dotson has been a fan favorite due to his mostly solid on-field play but his stunning candor in interviews. But he’s well beyond his prime and at 34, isn’t worth an investment in at this point. Verdict: Look to free agency or the Draft for a RT It’s time to let Dotson hit the market.
Breshad Perriman (WR)
UFA
It’s been an interesting journey for Perriman, who came into the league as a 1st round pick for the Ravens, battled injuries, then had a decent resurgence for the Browns before signing in Tampa on a 1-year deal. To start the season, Perriman was more of his usual stone-handed self: In weeks 1-9, Perriman had a combined 11 catches for 139 yards. But with injuries to both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Perriman stepped up later on in the season, finishing with 25 catches for 506 yards in the remaining 5 weeks. By the way—he had more yards in those final 5 weeks then he had had in any season up to that point. Perriman represents more of a luxury re-signing at this point, and the team is likely to turn to Scotty Miller (2019 6th round pick) as a more budget WR3. Verdict: It was a good year for Perriman, but he’s likely to get a better deal on the open market. Let him walk.
Jason Pierre-Paul (Edge)
UFA
This is probably the hardest Free Agent to make a verdict on. JPP was acquired from the Giants for a 3rd round pick last year then went onto become our 1st 10+ sack rusher since Simeon Rice in 2007. Another offseason freak accident for JPP last year resulted in a fractured neck that took him out for the first 6 games of the season. He still managed to amass 8.5 sacks in 8 starts. At 31, JPP is still playing at a high level, but when the Bucs restructured his contract to allow him to become a UFA last season, the writing seemed to be on the wall for his future in Tampa. I’d love to find a way to re-sign him on a 2 year deal, worth ~$10M or so, sure, keep him around. Otherwise… Verdict: Try to keep him on a cheap 2 year deal. But he’s likely to want one more big pay-day, and if that’s the case, let him get it.
Ndamukong Suh (DT)
UFA
Ndamukong Suh didn’t show up on the stat sheet much, and he didn’t even show up that great on tape. But he was worth every penny of his $10M deal for the culture add to the locker room. Suh has always been a violent and determined player, a contrast to the players that we had in the KoetteSmith/Schiano eras. I’m not sure what value he brings in 2020, and he’ll probably try to win one ring before calling it quits. Verdict: Let him go donkey kick some other QB’s balls elsewhere.
2019 Draft Outlook
Round/Pick
Player
Analysis
Round 1, #5 Overall
Devin White (LB – LSU)
What I said when we made the pick: “White is a speed demon LB with excellent coverage skills…his attitude alone will be uplifting to a milquetoast team…His transition to the NFL won’t be without growing pains, but it’s a pick that fills a huge need and should be an upgrade…” What I say now: White had some unfortunate injury and illness issues to start the year, but by the end of the season, it was clear why he was a top 5 pick. He was all over the field and a number of turnovers, stops, and passes defended. If he stays healthy, he will be a top ILB next year. Outlook: Very positive.
Round 2, #39 Overall
Sean Murphy-Bunting (CB – Central Michigan)
What I said when we made the pick: “And with Greedy Williams still on the board, we picked…Sean Murphy-Bunting. The pick seemed like a little bit of a reach to me…I’m whelmed by this pick.” What I say now: When I’m wrong, I admit I’m dead wrong. SMB was nothing short of awesome as a rookie, racking up 3 INT’s while only allowing 528 yards in the air. He came up with big plays in a number of clutch situations and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team. Outlook: Positive
Round 3, #94 Overall
Jamel Dean (CB – Auburn)
What I said when we made the pick: “A high risk/high reward potential draft pick here… He’s a freak athlete who ran a 4.3 at the Combine and that speed showed up on his game tape too. Against Alabama, in particular, he was tested on the deep ball a few times and stayed with his receiver in stride, giving up no big plays…This to me was a pick based more on his potential than his production” What I say now: Dean didn’t look like a 3rd round pick, and when he got tested by the fires, he rose to the occasion. He was good enough to be named to PFF’s all-rookie team. I’m more excited about his trajectory than even SMB’s. Outlook: Very positive.
Round 3, #99 Overall
Mike Edwards (S – Kentucky)
What I said when we made the pick: “Woah nelly I did not like this pick. You know how when you turn on Rookie mode in Madden and the safeties bite on play action almost every time? That’s what I saw with Mike Edwards…Angles he took on tackles were often whiffed…this was probably my least favorite pick of this draft.” What I say now: Woah nelly I did not like this pick. You know how when you turn on Rookie mode in Madden and the safeties bite on play action almost every time? That’s what I saw with Mike Edwards…Angles he took on tackles were often whiffed…this was probably my least favorite pick of this draft. Outlook: Negative
Round 5, #145 Overall
Matt Gay (Thiccer – Utah)
What I said when we made the pick: “…when Licht rolled the dice on Gay, I had zero issue with it, given how many 5th round picks he’s wasted in the past …I don’t have any qualms with burning a draft pick to address a serial need for us.” What I say now: Gay was inconsistent as a rookie, going 77.1% on field goals and 89.6% on XPS. In a vacuum, those numbers aren’t great, and he cost us a few games. But he’s better than what we’ve had and we can only hope the numbers will tick up with experience. Outlook: Neutral
Round 6, #208 Overall
Scotty Miller (WR – Bowling Green)
What I said when we made the pick: I don’t think Scotty Miller makes the final roster…Miller’s separation was unimpressive to me from the limited tape I saw. Not a lot to be excited for here. What I say now: Miller looked decent when we turned to him for more looks later on in the season after losing Evans and Godwin. He may be our starting slot receiver on opening day 2020. Outlook: Neutral
Round 7, #215 Overall
Terry Beckner Jr. (DT – Missouri)
What I said when we made the pick: He may be Terry Beckner Jr., but if you look at how he’s bulked up, it looks like Terry Becker Jr. ate Terry Beckner Sr.” What I say now: Turns out he bulked up like that because he was using the PED’s. He tested positive and got cut. Outlook: Ded.
Top Needs Entering Free Agency and the Draft
OT- If Jameis Winston becomes a free agent, QB becomes priority #1 for obvious reasons, because the only remaining QB on our roster at that point will be Ryan Griffin. And…just…nope. Don’t want that guy starting unless we’re trying to tank for Trevor. Demar Dotson is set to become a UFA, and that leaves a gaping hole on the right side. Donovan Smith will be cuttable after this year, providing an opportunity to draft a guy and plug him into the right side as a rookie before transitioning to the blindside. Possible Solutions: Jack Conklin, Meckhi Becton, Jedrick Willis
DT- My fellow Buccaneers fans may say Safety is a clear #2 need, which I’d disagree with. Vita Vea has filled in nicely at 0-tech, but the Bucs are in need of more depth and pass rushing prowess on the inside, particular with four-man front looks. Possible Solutions: Chris Jones (can bounce to DE and has that versatility), Arik Armstead, Javon Kinlaw
RB- RoJo had a great step forward in year 2, but his bone-headedness in blocking and suspect vision make him a more one-dimensional back. Peyton Barber is a free agent and seems best suited as a 3rd down back at this point. In short, the Bucs don’t have a feature back on the roster right now. It’s remained an area of need since Doug Martin became Drug Martin. Possible Solutions: Kareem Hunt (ew, I hate typing that), David Johnson (via trade), D’Andre Swift
Edge- Depth, depth, depth. You don’t compete in this league with a narrow DL, and with some of our free agency departures, that’s what we’re looking at. Jason Licht ought to look at the 49ers model for success (give me your Kyle Shanahan memes in the comments) and give the Bucs a young and fearsome pass rush. Possible Solutions: Yannick Ngakoue, Kyle Van Noy, Robert Quinn, AJ Epinesa
S- I’ve got Safety a little lower here because I have a lot of confidence in our young core of DB’s. Liked a lot of what I saw from Jordan Whitehead this year and think he’s poised for a breakout in year 3. Justin Evans remains a big injury question mark, and 1st year safety Mike Edwards just didn’t look great to start. Somewhere out there, a Buccaneers fan just whined about passing on Derwin for Vita Vea. Tell me that fan’s address so I can give that fan a wedgie. Depth and quality here is still needed. Possible Solutions: Eric Berry, Anthony Harris, Laughter Lewinsky-Blowjobs, Grant Delpit
Free Agency: The 2020 Wish List
I’m making this list more from a practicality standpoint. It sure would be nice if the Bucs somehow signed all the top free agents, but we have plenty of our own guys to keep in-house.
Jack Conklin – RT (Titans): Yes, he’s torn his ACL twice. But ACL injuries aren’t as concerning as they were say, ten years ago. Conklin would be an instant plug and play starter to replace the aging Demar Dotson at RT, and given injury history, he may not command the same kind of top dollar as other OT’s.
Vic Beasley – Edge (Falcons): Beasley would provide nice depth at edge and come at a lower price than what it might take to re-sign JPP. Beasley is the kind of player who has been up and down in his career but at 27 years old and with 37.5 sacks in his career to date, he could provide a solid plug and play option.
Anthony Harris – Safety (Vikings): Unlikely the Vikings let Harris walk, but we can dream, right? Harris has been a ball-hawking Safety who’s also been an asset in stopping the run. Entering his prime at 28, Harris’s agents could be trying to get him the same kind of market-breaking deal that Landon Collins secured last year.
Arik Armstead – DT/Edge (49ers): Armstead would be a instant upgrade from Suh and the kind of player who would keep the ferocity of the Bucs’ 2019 DL intact. He’s going to make a lot of money, and I see few scenarios where the Bucs cough up a competitive deal for him.
Melvin Gordon – RB (Chargers): Gordon held out to start the 2019 season and it bit him in the ass. He was slower, less explosive, and he had ball security issues to boot. It’s part of the reason I think Gordon is going to be available at a bargain price that pays him closer to what Mark Ingram is making in Baltimore (3 years, $15M) then the kind of Gurley money that Gordon initially sought.
Back in December, Buccaneers lost a cherished member of our community in FactCheckOnTheFly. Fact Check was the kind of guy who you could feel his enthusiasm pouring out of every comment and dank me me he posted. He was hilarious, in short, his attitude was contagious, and he had the kind of sense of humor that contributed daily to the what the fuck is wrong with you people? culture that exists on Buccaneers. The majority of the people we interact with on Reddit are strangers we’ll never meet. But spend enough time shooting the shit in comments, sharing laughs, and celebrating in the rare victory together, and eventually it feels no different from kicking back and crushing beers on the porch with an old friend. RIP Fact Check. You will be missed.
Closing Thoughts: We’re Almost There
For the first time in nearly a decade, the Bucs were a fun team to watch last year in nearly every game. It’s a nice cultural shift from the milquetoast mentality from the days of yore. I predicted the Bucs would go 7-9 last year (the 2nd year I got our record correctly in a row, by the way). There’s not a lot to say looking back here, but depending on the moves we make in free agency and the draft, I’ll have a lot to say looking forward. This team is on the cusp of playoffs again (with or without the expanded field with the new CBA). I’ll be watching with eyes wide open for both the draft, free agency, and some dank new uniforms. Fire the cannons. Shoutout to Buccaneers and my fellow mods. Love y’all. Link to Hub Post
Sic bo is a popular gambling dice game around Asia and is played with 3 dice on a table where players make their bets. “Sic bo” in Chinese means, “dice pair”. Despite its popularity in Asia, the game didn’t reach the casinos in the U.S. until sometime in the 1980s. Sic bo has many variants, and Chuck-A-Luck may be the most familiar. The Chinese equivalent is Tien Gow, which is the name of several Chinese gambling games that use either a pair of dice or 32 dominoes to determine the outcome.
